How a recovery flows

Source access is read-only by default. Any temporary soft-delete action is scoped to reviewed blobs, explicitly approved, cleaned up after recovery, and recorded.

Azure recovery layers

Recover from what Azure still retains.

Change feed identifies deletions. Blob versioning supports read-only recovery of retained versions. When soft delete requires a temporary undelete, RestoreBound shows the exact blobs for explicit operator approval, copies recovered data to the customer destination, and cleans up the temporary source state afterward.

A recovery starts with a reviewable plan: the requested container and path, the deleted objects found, what can be recovered, and any temporary source actions required. The operator explicitly approves whether to continue.
